Page Blocks Home
Page Blocks are one of the most advanced features in Pollitify. Page Blocks allow you to create re-usable page elements aka "page blocks" that you can assemble into a custom page for your Polly instance. Want to create a custom home page for your Polly instance? That's done with page blocks. Want to create a giving page for your Polly instance? Again that's done with page blocks.
The key features for Page Blocks are:
- Page Blocks -- individual, reusable content blocks
- Page Block Pages -- individual pages that assemble page blocks into a coherent whole
Here's an example. Let's say that you are an individual activist in Evansville, Indiana. You might want a page that has the following page blocks:
- A picture of you at the very top of the page to establish your personal brand
- A bio of yourself and some descriptive text
- A list of your upcoming events
- A link to one of your funding sources like Buy Me a Coffee
- A bit of text that explains how to contact you and has a link to the internal contact feature
Each of these would be individual page blocks that are then assembled into a home page and then if you turn on the HomePage attribute of that page, that makes this the home page.
